Oncology Locum position in Williston, ND where Outpatient coverage is needed. Here are some of the details:
Schedule-
- Monday-Friday: 8am – 5pm with availability for staff to contact when not on location to review labs, radiology results and treatment regimens.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: ***Must meet ALL submission requirements in order to submit!***
- Board Certification in Hem/Onc or Board Eligible: REQUIRED
- Active ND license, IMLC (LOQ in hand at submission): REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice Background: PREFERRED
- Availability at time of name clear submission (As soon as possible) - REQUIRED
- Certifications: DEA, BLS (Copies in hand at submission): REQUIRED
- Must be willing to supervise APP’s: REQUIRED
Practice Description:
- Setting: Outpatient medical oncology
- Duties: include but are not limited to -
- seeing new patient consults.
- Initiate or complete staging workup.
- Formulating and initiating chemotherapy or immunotherapy treatments in conjunction with Radiation Oncology (on site) and surgical oncology (off site) when appropriate. Collaboration with NPs or PAs.
- Provide oversight to the clinical aspect of treatment delivery and infusions.
- Help coordinate patient care across regional health systems when necessary (i.e. Trinity Health, Mayo, U of M)
- Required Procedures: bone marrow biopsy experienced preferred but not required.
- EMR: Mosaiq/Meditech
- Support Staff: excellent and experienced, 2 clinic RNs, 4 infusion RNs and 1 RN navigator. Radiation oncologist, dosimetry, radiation therapy, dietitian, prior authorization specialists, patient advocate, financial assistance coordinator, (scalp cooling, tumor registry)
- Reason for Coverage: The program and department are growing and transitioning to a permanent physician for consistency and improved patient care.
- Admissions per day –Hospitalist may contact to discuss admitted patients, not required to round or admit patients
- Patients/day – 8-10 patients per clinic day
- Types of cases – head and neck, prostate, breast cancer, skin cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, lymphomas, liver, colon/rectal cancer, sarcoma, ovarian cancers, testicular, gynecologic, neuroendocrine, bladder, kidney, brain, pancreatic, metastatic disease. Non-malignant hematology
