Urology Locum Opportunity in Kentucky

Hospital is in search Full Time or Part part-time physician (MD/DO) Locum Tenens due to Staff Retirement.

We are looking for a provider to start 07/07/2025 through the end of the Year

Shifts available: Monday- Monday schedule will be based on patient schedule and procedures needed in clinic and in the OR. 

Schedule:  M-F report onsite at the Clinic (1 mile from hospital) to see patients and to procedures as needed. Other dates not in the clinic will be in the hospital for OR procedures, rounding on post Op patients.

Typically the schedule will be  2 ½ days in the Clinic AND include 2 ½ days in the Operating Room for procedures at the hospital, and then rounding.

After clinic/surgery Call is also part of this position, but Call back would only be for Emergencies.  

Weekend Call included. 

*We can not accept Call Only, or Weekend Only availability locums for this position*

Prefer to have the provider work 2 weeks per month. Would consider 1 week per month with consistent coverage each month. Credentials:

MD/DO: Either

BC: Urology

Required Certifications:  BLS, ACLS, ATLS, DEA Certificate, other:

Required Experience in: General urology treatment, diagnosis, and procedures to include: Stone Treatment and removal, Cystoscopy , Biopsy (prostate), TUNA, Robotics

vasectomies, ureteroscopies, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP))

Unit Details:

Beds per Unit: Urology Medical Office has 4 patient rooms, 2 procedure rooms

Patients per day by Locums: 2-3 per day in inpatient seen

# of procedures per shift (OR): 10-12

# of patient seen per clinic shift: 28-30

Will Locums be sole provider: Yes with mid level support

Is there other support start for Locums: (if so what) APC’s no RN’s

Average calls per night: It depends sometimes none and sometimes 3-5

Will Locums do Admits: Yes

This is a busy, high-volume practice seeking a skilled and dedicated provider with a passion for urology.

Assignment Details:

Monday to Monday (Clinic, inpatient, surgery, rounding, day call, night and weekend call)

Schedule:  Clinic (onsite) 2 1/2 days per week with OR/Procedures as scheduled 2 1/2 days per week. More details to be discussed further upon interview

Reason for need/urgency: Retirement  6/30/25

Working Multiple locations: No
