Hematology Oncology Locum Opportunity in Kentucky

Internal Medicine (Hematology & Oncology) Physician for Locum Tenens position in Louisville, KY- $500 Hourly

Start Date: May 5, 2025 - August 18, 2025. Can start sooner pending onboarding.

Shifts available:

• Orientation, 8-Hr Day Shift 
• Will consider Locums for 3-5 shifts per week, every other week. 

Submission Requirements:

1. Medical Onc Board with Hematology: REQUIRED
2. Fellowship attendance: REQUIRED
3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS: REQUIRED
4. KY DEA Certification: REQUIRED

Position Description:

• Workload: Primarily Hematology Patients
• Skills/Procedures: Hematology and blood disorders
• Other Role Notes: Provider would not take oncology patients unless an urgent matter and would not change or administer oncology care or prescriptions 
• The locums will see hematology patients with only a small possibility of seeing oncology patients. This is because the existing oncology providers will remain providing care to those patients directly.  
• Patient Mix: Locums will see hematology patients
• Hands-on/Supervision: None
• Adult/Peds: 18+
• Outpatient volume 15-20 
• Will Locums be taking established patients? Yes, hematology
• What support staff, if any, will be available to assist the Locums provider? Each MD has 1 FTE Clinic RN
