PA-Surgery Cardiothoracic Locum Job in Flagstaff, AZ
SHIFT DETAILS :
- April 21,22,23,24 7a-3p + night beeper call
- June 23-27 7a-3p +week night beeper call
- July 2-July 4 7a-3 + week night beeper call
- July 5,6 24 hour beeper call
- July 7 7a-3 + week night beeper call
- Will need one day for orientation.
WORK DETAILS :
- Support Staff: Surgeon
- Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7a
- Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries
- Patient Population/Age: adult/geron
- Department Description: CT Surgery
- EMR: Cerner
- Hospital Bed size: 199
- Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement
- Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH
- Practice Setting: Hospital
REQUIREMENTS :
- Board Certification:
- License Required: yes
- DEA: yes
- Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH Graduate from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants ( NCCPA) - Required
Or
- Master's Degree in Nursing- Required
- Certification & Licensures
- Certified or certification eligible by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).- Required
- *Licensure or eligible for licensing as a Physicians Assistant in the State of Arizona– Required
- *ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
OR
- *Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program – Required
- *Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program- Required
- *Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license- Required
- *Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification- Required
- *ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
- Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
