PA-Surgery Cardiothoracic Locum Job in Flagstaff, AZ

SHIFT DETAILS : 

• Standard 4, Night (8 Hours) 19:00 - 7:00
• April 14,15,16 7a-3p + night beeper call
• April 21,22,23,24 7a-3p + night beeper call
• Shifts - 7a-3p M-F with night beeper call, 24 hour call on Sat/Sun
• Will need one day for orientation.

WORK DETAILS : 

• Support Staff: Surgeon
• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7a
• Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries
• Patient Population/Age: adult/geron
• Department Description: CT Surgery
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital Bed size: 199
• Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement
• Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH
• Practice Setting:  Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : 

• Board Certification:
• License Required: yes
• DEA: yes
• Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
• Graduate from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants ( NCCPA) - Required

Or

• Master's Degree in Nursing- Required
• Certification & Licensures
• Certified or certification eligible by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).- Required
• Licensure or eligible for licensing as a Physicians Assistant in the State of Arizona– Required
• ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required

Or

• Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program – Required
• Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program- Required
• Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license- Required
• Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification- Required
• ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
