Internal Medicine Locum Opportunity in Wisconsin

About the Opportunity:

Hospital is seeking an experienced Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to provide consistent locum tenens coverage, approximately 3-4 weeks per month. Our well-established practice primarily serves an adult patient population with a significant number of geriatric patients. While we have an on-site pediatrics department, occasional minimal pediatric care may be required. This role offers the opportunity to function as a temporary Primary Care Physician (PCP), ensuring continuity of care for our patients.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing comprehensive primary care services to adult and geriatric patients.
• Conducting pre-operative exams.
• Seeing hospital follow-up patients in the clinic setting.
• Managing routine primary care needs, including acute and chronic illness management.
• Covering medication refills for practice partners' patients.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Providing patient education and counseling.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.  
• Active and unrestricted medical license in WI.
• Must have significant post-residency experience in outpatient primary care. New graduates will not be considered at this time.
• Experience managing adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Comfort with performing pre-operative exams and seeing hospital follow-up patients.
• Ability to function independently as a PCP and manage a diverse patient panel.

Patient Population: Primarily adults with a large geriatric population. Minimal pediatrics.
