About the Opportunity:
The Internal Medicine department is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team on a locum tenens basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential patient care in a well-established outpatient clinic setting while we recruit for a permanent provider. You will have the chance to work with a diverse adult patient population, focusing on comprehensive primary care.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing high-quality primary care services to adult patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Conducting patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Prescribing medications as appropriate and in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements (if applicable).
- Providing patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease management.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient records in our EMR system (Cerner).
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner (ANP) license or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
- Board certification in Adult Medicine or Family Medicine preferred.
- Experience in an outpatient primary care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse range of adult medical conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (experience with Cerner is a plus).
- Patient Volume: Expect to see an average of 13-16 patients per day.
