Description
  • Open to licensing BUT highly preferred license in hand given start date
  • Expected start date ASAP, no later than Jan 2027

  • Daily Shift Standard: 12hr
  • Expected duration of assignment 6 months
  • Reason for opening Gap in coverage
  • Schedule /Shift hours: 12 hours on site with back up call for the remaining 12 hours- need coverage for up to 6 shifts a week (day and night)
  • Type of privileges: Hospital
  • Setting:  Inpatient, Outpatient or Both? Both
  •      If Inpatient, # of beds: 241
  • Call requirement 12 hours on with 12 hours back up call
  • Rounding, admissions, or none? Both
  • Patient demographics Acute Care Surgery and Trauma Patients (ED, OR, and ICU)
  • Average patients per day 24
  • Required Procedures All Trauma and Acute Care Surgery
  • Required clinical activity in the last 24 months (case logs) Applicants for initial appointment must be able to demonstrate performance of major operations in the past (24) months. This can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:
  • An applicant who has just completed a residency shall provide his/her residency case log;
  • OR
  • An applicant who is not applying directly out of a residency shall provide a quality profile from the applicant's current hospital showing his or her clinical activity for the past (12) months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications;
  • OR
  • If a quality profile is not available from the applicant's current hospital, provide documentation of the applicant's hospital-based clinical activity for the past (12) months.


  • Documented 50 cases in Trauma within the last 5 years to be reviewed and assessed by Trauma Medical Director. All trauma cases within the first year will be subject to Peer Review in conjunction with TQIC


  • Will provider work solo? Yes with a day time APC; solo overnight
  • Licensed Candidate: No but HIGHLY preferred given start date
  • Required certifications (Must be from AHA or American Red Cross as applicable) BC or BE in Surgery, ATLS
  • EMR: EPIC Proficient user
