  • Here are the questions that I will have for every presentation.


  • 1.Do they take 24-hour General GI call?
  • 2.Will they see patients in the clinic setting?
  • 3.Will they scope patients in an outpatient endoscopy center/ambulatory surgery center?
  • a.Is nurse sedation/conscious sedation (Fentanyl and Versed) ok with them?
  • b.Will they only scope if sedation is strictly MAC/anesthesia only?
  • 4.Are they open to scoping patients in our outpatient hospital block that are not suitable for the endoscopy center?
  • a.We need to fill our 3 outpatient hospital blocks weekly.  This is filled by either the General GI who is also on call or by another MD who is not on call.


Schedule Details

  • Start- As Soon as Cred
  • 8hrs typically varies when on call
  • 8a-5p 8hrs day shift
  • Weekends/evenings nights when on call
  • Call Required, yes 24hr call consulting, rounding, inpatient/outpatient GI procedures)


If Advanced Endoscopist:

1. Do they perform ERCP?

a. Will they take 24-hour backup ERCP call when they are here? 

i. Example: A different General GI MD is on-call at hospital, but they call this MD if ERCP is needed to come in.

ii. If the backup ERCP call MD is not in the hospital on General GI call, I would have them in the endoscopy center or in the clinic.

  • License- Will accept presents for candidates who don't hold active license or are pending license in respective state, must be WA licensed when they start
  • BC- other certs required by MSO
  • EMR- Epic proficient user
