Facility is looking for General Surgeon locum coverage starting February 2025 + on-going!

SCHEDULE : 

• (5) 24hr shifts per month with Weekend Requirements
• Feb 3-10
• April 21-28
• May 12-19
• June 2-9
• July 14-21

JOB DESCRIPTION : 

• Reason for Coverage: Shortage
• Practice Setting: Hospital base / 4 hours clinical
• Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: based on patients coming into the ER.
• Trauma Level/Designation: III
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
• Number of Operating Rooms: 9
• Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 4
• Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric

• General Surgical Cases ADULT
• General Surgical Cases TRAUMA
• Laser Certification
• Chest Wall/Pleural Procedures
• Central Line Insertion
• PA Catheter Placement
• Ventilation Management
• Chest Tube Insertion
• Aneurysm repairs
• Abdominal, Peripheral, Vascular Access Devices
• AV Shunt
• Cholecystectomy
• Nissen Fundoplication 
• Hernioplasty
• Upper, Lower, Sigmoidoscopy & Colonoscopy

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : 

• Board Certified (ABOS, AOBOS) - REQUIRED
• Active VA license - REQUIRED (must be currently active, will not accept providers needing to obtain license)
• BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccinated - Preferred; must have by time of credentialing
• Clean background is highly preferred
• MUST STATE AVAILABILITY AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR
