SCHEDULE : 

• Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30pm clinic/OR & 24hr call
• Open dates:   3/25 to 3/31

JOB DESCRIPTION : 

• Reason for Coverage: Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage 
• Practice Setting: Office/ Hospital/ OR/ Rounding
• Call Schedule: After office hours and weekends
• Trauma Level/Designation: n/a
• Number of Operating Rooms: 1
• Documentation System/EMR: Epic
• Patient Age Demographic: Adult 18+
• Scope of Services Required: Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery
• REQUIRED DUTIES/PROCEDURES :
• Aortic Surgery Procedures Required: Descending Aortic Aneurysms
• Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Procedures Required: CABG, Redo Coronary Revascularization(With or Without Heart Valve Surgery), Arterial Revascularization(Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery), Pericardial Window, Tube Thoracostomy, Thoracic aortic aneurysms
• Thoracic Endoscopy Procedures Required: Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy, Chest Wall Resection and Reconstruction, Mediastinal Surgery
• Vascular Surgery Procedures Required: Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery (CoreValve® System), Mitral Valve Repair

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : 

• Board Certification (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) - REQUIRED
• Active VA license & DEA  - REQUIRED, no exceptions
• BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
• Fellowship Training - REQUIRED
• CASE LOGS MUST BE SUBMITTED W/ PRESENTATION
• PROVIDER MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR LISTED DATES. DO NOT SUBMIT ANYONE NOT ABLE TO COVER THESE DATES.
