About the Opportunity:

Hospital is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist to provide locum tenens coverage in our busy outpatient GI Lab. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with no call responsibilities. The focus of this position is solely on performing screening procedures in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Performing outpatient gastroenterology screening procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, upper endoscopies).
• Reviewing patient medical histories and relevant documentation.
• Ensuring proper documentation of procedures and findings in the Epic EMR system.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards within the GI Lab.
• Collaborating with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified (BC) in Gastroenterology.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in TX.
• Experience performing upper and lower endoscopic procedures.
• Familiarity with outpatient GI lab settings and protocols.

Patient Focus: Outpatient screenings only.

Call Responsibilities: No call required for this position.
