General Surgery Locum Opportunity in Pennsylvania

Need 1-2 providers (acute care NPs or PAs) who can cover floor management, consults, ER admissions and be first assistant in general surgery cases.

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 7a-3p

Floor Management of patients:

responsible for daily rounds on patients including placing orders, progress notes and communications with attendings and nursing staff regarding daily plans. Discharging patients, including appropriate instructions, summaries and orders

Preforming daily bedside procures and tasks such as dressing changes, removal of drains/ NGTs

Consults/ ER admissions

Responsible for seeing consults in the ER or admitted to another primary service. Able to preform a comprehensive physical exam and evaluation. Communication with on call attending regarding operative planning. Appropriate documentation and orders.

Operative

Serve as a first assistant in general surgery cases. Able to efficient assist in open, laparoscopic and robotic cases. Pre- operative and post operative care for patients
