Description

Urology call coverage for Level II Trauma center and Hospital

Average Worked Callback Hours: 1- 2 hours


Schedule/Availability Requirements:

  • Nov 26 – Nov 30; 7a – 7a 
  • Dec 24 – Dec 28; 7a – 7a
  • Setting: Emergency Dept./Surgery
  • FTE: 1
  • Duties: Cover Urology call - get handoff from Urologists if appropriate
  • Required Procedures: General Urology
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: Surgery nurses and techs. on call 
  • Reason for Coverage: previous locum scheduled cancelled stint
  • Deal breakers (do not present this): Not willing to learn EPIC

 

Credentialing Information:

  • Timeframe: 3-4 weeks minimum
  • Requirements: M.D. or D.O.; DEA; NE license; case logs from last 2 years
  • Credentialing with other facilities? No
  • Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less?: No - they will need to be enrolled with our payors so that we can bill under their own name.

 

Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:

  • On average, how busy is the call volume per day? (Consults vs. callbacks?): Will have days with no consults for urology out of the ED.  However, there are other days where there may be 4 or 5
  • Is the Urologist responsible for admissions or will the hospitalists be covering admits?   Hospitalists admit patients


Submission Requirements

  • Board Certification Urology – Board Certified or Board Eligible [REQUIRED]
  • NE License – [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Malpractice – Clean [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Availability at time of name clear – [REQUIRED]
  • Case logs required at time of presentation
