Neuro Hospitalist Locum Opportunity in Missouri

• Start Date: November 6, 2026 (Urgent need for December 2026 coverage)
• Schedule / Shift: 7-on / 7-off rotation; 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Coverage Type: Day shifts only (No night call; Virtual Neurology covers 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Headcount: 2 Locum Tenens providers needed
• Mid-Level Support: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on site Monday – Friday (potential weekend coverage)
• Credentialing Timeline: 30 Days (Fast-track privileging)
• Board Certification: Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC)
• Life Support / Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• State Licensure: Active Missouri (MO) license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
• EMR System: Epic

Clinical Scope & Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary inpatient neurohospitalist coverage, acute inpatient neurological consultations, and acute stroke code evaluations.
• Work standard 12-hour day blocks (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a 7-on / 7-off rotation.
• Collaborate with and supervise hospital-employed APPs during weekdays (Monday – Friday), with potential APP support extending into weekends.
• Procedures: Ability to perform nerve conduction studies / Electromyography (EMG) is a strong plus.
• Night Coverage Hand-off: Seamless hand-off at 7:00 PM; all overnight needs (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) are handled by a dedicated Tele-Neurology service (V-Neuro).
• Complete all clinical documentation, consults, and order entry in Epic.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Training: ACGME/AOA-accredited residency training in Neurology (fellowship in Neurohospitalist, Vascular Neurology, or Clinical Neurophysiology preferred).
• Board Status:bBoard Eligible.
• Licensing: Active, unrestricted Missouri state medical license in hand or eligible for immediate activation via the IMLC.
• Background Requirements: Clean NPDB and clear malpractice history for immediate submission.
• Availability: Immediate submission of availability for December 2026 blocks with commitment to ongoing 7-on / 7-off blocks.
