Hospitalist Locum Opportunity in Michigan

Hospital is looking for an OB Hospitalist to fill their need!

Schedule and Dates of Coverage: 

• June 15 – ongoing until perm is hired
• In house shifts on the L&D floor
• Specific days/shifts needed:
• Every Monday 7a-5:30p + Every Wednesday 5:30a-5:30a
• 2nd Tuesday/month, 1st Friday/month, 3rd Friday/month; 7a-5:30p

Details:

• Program is a Laborist program ("doc in the box") 24/7 covers L&D and OB Triage and occasionally has to go to ER for some female related GYN issues.
• OB/GYN residents there 24/7 but no APP coverage
• Would be responsible for supervising residents - no exceptions
• Private practice deliveries on that unit
• Level 3 NICU staffed by neonatologists and APP
• 27 beds + triage and OR in addition to those.
• 400 c-sections per year
• Will do elective inductions but not commonly
• Must be comfortable with c-sections; emergency DNC, DNE
• 24 hour anesthesia that covers OB
• Recently developed dry epidural program
• Don't do a lot of high risk

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified - REQUIRED
• MI License - Highly Preferred (willing to accept with IMLC)
• Clean Background/No Malpractice - Highly Preferred
• Local Candidates - Highly Preferred (open to candidates who need full travel)
