Neurological Surgery Locum Opportunity in Kentucky

Facility of Neurosurgery is in search of Full Time or Part Time Neurohospitalist (MD/DO)  for Locum Tenens due to Providers taking Vacation.

We are looking for a provider(s) to start 04/03/2027 through 10/11/2027. 

Shifts available: 24 Hour Inpatient Call (MD/DO), Orientation (MD/DO) (total shifts needed 7/month) - 7a - 7a (8 hrs onsite rounding/consults - with night pager call).

*2027 coverage needed: 4/3 - 4/12, 7/24 - 8/8, 10/2 - 10/11. Availability can be flexible within and around these dates, if necessary.

Privileges available: Full Privileges, Temp Privileges

Credentials Accepted: Physician (MD/DO)

Board level: Board Certified (Required)

Boards: Neurosurgery

Certifications: ABLS, ATLS, ACLS

License Requirement: Active KY license or Active IMLC license only, accepted.

Workload: Day Shift (Rounding/Consults): 10-15 daily

Night Call: 5-10 per night to review films & determine need for surgery. The vast majority of calls do not require going into the facility. If there is a need to go on-site, it would be once a night.  It’s extremely rare to have to go in-person more than once per night.

Skills/Procedures: Neurosurgery only. 

Other Role Notes: 

-Neurointerventional MD will also be on call with Locums Physician.
