Emergency Medicine Nocturnist Locums Position in Eureka, CA- $300 hourly

Job Description:

Emergency Medicine in Eureka, CA where Inpatient Coverage is needed. Here are some of the details: 

Start Date: September 8, 2024- Ongoing

Coverage needed: 7-10 days a month needed. *** Hospital needs day and night coverage but NIGHT coverage is priority right now as there is a high need. ***

Submission Requirements:  

• Board Certified ABEM/ABEOM or Truly Board Eligible (Within 5 Years of Residency)- REQUIRED 
• Active CA License ONLY - REQUIRED
• Active Certifications: ACLS, BLS  - REQUIRED
• Supervision of APP’s: REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years experience-REQUIRED

Practice Description: 

• Looking for 2-3 providers
• Average number of patients in 24hrs is 110. 
• Beds in the department: 20
• Adult %: 88%
• PEDS %: 12%
• Patients per day: 100
• ED responds to codes
• EMR: Epic
• Trauma Level III 
• Referral transfer protocol: Transfer center called, organizes transfers
• Who runs code? Location 1 the Intensivist does, at Location 2 the ED doc does.
